DALLAS – July 31, 2019 – SymphonyAI, the leading global provider of AI-enabled revenue growth management solutions and customer-centric insights for retailers and CPG manufacturers across the entire value chain, today announced an integration project with Gideon Brothers, a Croatian robotics and AI startup developing breakthrough vision-based autonomy. Gideon Brothers is a unique actor in Europe – it is one of only three companies globally developing autonomous technology for complex logistics and manufacturing environments with navigation and localization based on visual perception.
The project brings added efficiencies to the mutual customers of Gideon Brothers and SymphonyAI, enabling an entirely new level of automation of warehouse operations.
Global retailers are revolutionizing their operations by aggressively investing in AI and robotics to expand what warehouse operators can accomplish, opening up new possibilities. SymphonyAI warehouse management solutions (WMS) nicely fit with the robotics industry, as automation of operations in warehouses and distribution centers is a key competitive differentiator in today’s fast-moving, customer-driven marketplace.
“Global sales of collaborative logistics robots are growing exponentially, and the market is quickly powering through the early adopter phase of the innovation cycle,” says Milan Račić, Chief Growth Officer and Co-Founder of Gideon Brothers. “These projects with SymphonyAI will serve our mutual customers better and enable them to streamline their operations and raise productivity.”
Gideon Brothers will integrate the existing WMS with the robot platform, creating a major transformation of warehouse and distribution center operations. As a result, the robot platform will receive picking orders from the WMS, ensuring automated creation of tasks, which fleets of robots can execute without operator inputs.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Gideon Brothers to help our mutual customers automate their operations. Our core products have natural synergies,” said Arnaud Gauthier, President and Chief Customer Officer, SymphonyAI. “Together, we will begin our work with two projects. The first with Atlantic Grupa, a major FMCG manufacturer and distributor, at their 25,000 m2 warehouse. The second is with Tokić, the leading regional auto parts retailer in Croatia, and will run this at their 15,000 m2 warehouse.”
With this set of customers, Gideon Brothers will coordinate the integration of its pallet handling robot fleet via SymphonyAI’s warehouse management and warehouse voice operation software systems. The development started in April 2019 and the go-live is planned for Q4 2019.
