SymphonyAI started the new year as a unified company invigorated by the success of 2022 and the growth trajectory ahead. Our CEO Sanjay Dhawan and chairman and founder, Romesh Wadhwani, shared their vision for the company in Forbes last year. Soon after, our executive team stepped into high gear. Today, as a company operating across the world’s largest industries, we are positioned to solve specific complex business problems at scale.
With nearly 3,000 person strong workforce in 26 countries and a dramatically increasing customer base, we continue to grow because businesses find value in AI SaaS. Our AI solutions integrate into existing workflows, building insights and actionable intelligence to improve operations and decision-making.
Driving innovation
One by one, SymphonyAI solutions increase speed, effectiveness, and efficiency for customers across the industries we serve.
SymphonyAI NetReveal and SymphonyAI Sensa together are innovating best-in-class, AI-based financial crime prevention. The NetReveal acquisition, part of our strategic expansion within the financial vertical, combined with our groundbreaking, home-grown Sensa offerings, is starting to deliver the AI innovation that will help financial institutions contest evolving threats and compliance requirements. Financial institutions’ challenges – including money laundering, fraud, sanctions evasion, malfeasance, crypto, and compliance – have increased dramatically. Tackling them requires a new, proactive approach. As Sanjay explained in AI Magazine, AI software helps companies recognize activities that suggest potential criminal activity, searching “for new and evolving patterns and behaviors for which rules don’t yet exist. In other words, AI is looking for fraud and crime we can’t yet see.” The new, combined NetReveal-Sensa portfolio capabilities will define the future of financial crime detection.
Meanwhile, retailers are embracing store intelligence, supply chain optimization, and data insights to become nimbler and address how customers shop today. SymphonyAI Retail CPG provides automated, fast planograms for Metro Digital GmbH – delivering compliance and assortment optimization with localization to meet shopper preferences. We increased our collaboration with Action, Europe’s fastest-growing non-food discounter, adding new areas including allocations, promotions, and internal visibility, and sharing forecasting information with vendors to better navigate supply chain issues. SymphonyAI deployments like these facilitate a strategic transformation for retailers.
Manufacturers use SymphonyAI to help machine operators maximize yield and find process efficiencies. Our connected frontline worker Proceedix products support and guide workers through tasks in the field and provide a system for full transparency and compliance. Media companies rely on SymphonyAI solutions to identify inefficiencies and value content to maximize revenue.
In all these cases, AI isn’t just a product. It’s a means to an end. What matters is the value an application can generate in a particular process, operation, or workflow.
That thinking, innovation, and success are garnering recognition. Here’s a brief rundown:
- In retail and CPG, we earned honors worldwide, including certification as a Great Place to Work in nine countries and top provider on Food Logistics’ 2022 Top Software and Tech list. Store Brands named VP of Client Engagement Sonia Parekh, a Leader in Tech. VP Troy Prothero was honored with a Food Logistics’ 2022 Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award. New Zealand’s Foodstuffs North Island and Wisconsin-based Festival Foods recently released case studies explaining their success with our solutions.
- In financial crime prevention, our work earned several accolades. SymphonyAI Sensa received Gold in the Edison awards as a game-changer in the fight against money laundering. SymphonyAI Sensa was named a Top Performing Artificial Intelligence Company for 2022 by Datamation. Chartis Research moved SymphonyAI up 20 spots on its RiskTech 100 list for the NetReveal-Sensa Suite.
- In manufacturing, the SymphonyAI Industrial production forecasting technology, Forecast 360, was named Best AR/VR/AI Technology by Hydrocarbon Processing. The Watchman AIR wireless vibration monitoring solution won Plant Engineering’s Grand Award for 2021 product of the year. SymphonyAI also made the shortlist of the Mining Magazine Awards for software with the Performance360 process performance management solution.
- In IT and enterprise service management, we passed major milestones with SymphonyAI Summit. Early last year, SymphonyAI Summit was proud to receive Honorable Mention for IT Service Management Tools in Gartner’s 2022 Magic Quadrant report. The recognition set the stage for a stellar 2022, when we doubled our U.S. customer base.
- SymphonyAI Media was named by Parks Associates among the industry’s top leaders in technology. We worked with The Weather Channel, The Outdoor Channel, and Ovation TV to design and deploy state-of-the-art revenue solutions built on our cloud-based Revedia management platform. And we partnered with STX Films to leverage their data so they can respond more nimbly to a rapidly shifting media and entertainment marketplace.
SymphonyAI is equipping people across industries with AI Saas to help them become more efficient and productive. A key distinction underpins the SymphonyAI approach: we start with business challenges and create high-value AI solutions to solve those challenges. This contrasts with general-purpose AI DIY platforms or narrow, one-size-fits-all applications. We see AI software as a new way to improve specific business operations and yield more impactful outcomes.
It’s hard work, but the team’s efforts are bearing fruit. We can’t wait to put our plans for 2023 into action.
