Supply Chain Resilience

What is Supply Chain Resilience?

Supply chain resilience is the ability of retailers and product suppliers to anticipate, plan and react effectively when supply chain disruptions occur.

Why is Supply Chain Resilience important?

Supply chain resilience is critically important at a time when global supply chains are highly complex, interconnected and prone to disruption by unplanned events. Resilience is also important for coping with demand volatility that can fluctuate due to sudden shifts in consumer preferences. Building resilience into supply chains is essential for minimizing the impact of inevitable disruptions to maintain the highest possible service levels.
